A.k.a The Ray Lady
I’m Maisie, the Community Coordinator for the Song Saa Foundation, a conservation NGO in Cambodia. I love my job; we don’t have any sharks here but I get to teach children and the wider community all about the beautiful wildlife that surrounds us! I’m also a marine geneticist by trade, having worked on the conservation of rays and skates for my Masters by Research.
I’m really passionate about protecting all skates, rays and sharks, and I firmly believe that science plays a vital role in their conservation. From physics to biology to engineering, I’m here to share some really cool Elasmobranch science with you!
If you have any ideas for a blog, would like your science featured or just have some questions about how to get into marine biology I’d love to hear from you!
